Calle Leon Cottages' #2 Casa Rana
#1 Casa Colibri.... This 3/2 1200 sq ft house has a front porch, a living/dining room and a kitchen, ..a front bedroom with a full size bed, wall to wall closet, and computer desk, a second bedroom with a full size bed and wardrobe, and a master bedroom with lits jumeaux, and a bathroom attached. All the beds have Jiron orthopedic mattresses. The kitchen has a fridge, an electric stove and a microwave, and comes fully equipped. The living room has a wicker furniture, TV, VCR, and DVD player. There is no cable TV in Calle Leon, but our antenna catches about 15 Costa Rican channels (good opportunity to learn Spanish?). You can hook up to SKY Satellite TV if you wish,but it's a 12 month contract. The dish is already there. There's high speed wireless internet. Outside... a laundry room with a Costa Rican tile sink (pila) and a Frigidaire washer and dryer, and an attached 1-car carport. There is a second patio behind the house. The house comfortably houses a couple with two kids. We prefer renting the property annually. Utilities are not included. Yard maintenance is included. I 've started a potted herb garden in the back. It makes cooking from scratch great! My neighbor, Marguerite, can tell you about the medicinal qualities of all the local herbs. Her son, Miguel, has quite a collection of local orchids. (But...neither of them speaks any English....hardly anyone on this street does).
Rental rates are as follows: Up to 2 people, $500.00 a month. $500 pre-paid last month' rent. Damage deposit is $500, to be refunded (less damages) at the end of the rental term. Pet Deposit is $200, to be refund, minus damages, at the end the rental term. We have a "no smoking inside" policy. Minimum contract: 3 months. 6 months contract: get the next to last month... #2 Casa Rana .... ....This 2/2 1500 sq ft. house is fenced all around, with an electronic gate. It has a breakfast bar, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, fridge and microwave oven, bathroom with a bathtub, and a separate shower.

Yard maintenance is included. The Rancho's breakfast bar seats 8, tables and chairs can seat 8 more, and...there are 2 hammocks for bird watching (bring binoculars). There is a portable barbecue grill for outdoor cooking, and a Costa Rican pila to do laundry. There´s an exercise path through our coffee and banana trees. There are feeders for the many hummingbirds. Trees, bushes and flowers attract butterflies, birds, squirrels and even monkeys (whiteface and howler). I have also seen fruit bats, armadillos, capybaras, raccoons, oppossums and a coatimundi on the property. We have mango, avocado, cas, guava, papaya, lemon, mandarin, manzana de agua..and orange, .as well as many tropical ornamentals (heliconia, platanillo, anthurium, bougainvillia, hibiscus) and other flowering plants (ixora, porter weed, jasmine, gardinia, etc).
